It’s Ridiculous How Much I Love Denver, Part 2: Breakfast and Brunch
From the archives! I’ve kept categories and lists of Denver spots, and here’s my list of Denver Breakfast and Brunch places you should check out. We make breakfast at home soooooo often so please keep that in mind! Y’all!
*I’m going to try and update this regularly. I’ll definitely be adding more pictures as I can, turns out I don’t often take pics of these?? What? Anyway, last updated May 26, 2026.

Onefold is one of our all-time favorite places to go to for breakfast. There’s three locations, one in Uptown on 18th, one near Union Station, and one south of Denver in the Denver Tech Center/Greenwich Village. I’ve only been to the ones up in town, and they’re incredible. The location by Union Station has a lot more space and seating, so if you’re going during peak times you might take that into account. The 18th location is so cute, almost more outdoor seating than indoor. Some of our favorites are the breakfast burrito, the Chinese sausage fried rice, the simple breakfast, and the Vietnamese iced coffee. They ALSO HAVE LUNCH, which I must say I haven’t been for or ordered yet, but I know we’ll be back so I can. I try to get something new every time.
Stowaway Kitchen up in RiNo is really truly a breakfast I look forward to going and eating. The atmosphere is so nice, airy and cozy, and they have great coffee and pastries alongside their orderable food. The FOOD! The colorful Colorado, the scram sandwich, the oyaku-don! Literally everything. I’d order one of each if could. They do change the menu kind of seasonally I believe, and it’s all so fresh and real. If it’s nice out they’ll open the big garage door to outside and it’s a vibe. You’re best off getting a reservation, especially if it’s the weekend. Parking in the area can take a minute, so keep that in mind!
Tortas ATM is on 38th and is my favorite breakfast burrito in town. For $6 you get this giant burrito with potato and cheese and your choice of protein, and you get cups of red and green salsa. I love the ham or the shredded beef. You can order ahead and when you get there pick up! They’ve got agua fresca and horchata fresh, too. We’ve also gotten their tortas before which are amaaaaazing. They’ve got indoor and outdoor seating. It helps if you know Spanish but not necessary.
Pete’s Kitchen has a few locations locally and I love each. The one on University by DU is so cute but is realllll busy. The one on Colfax is your greasy, classic, booth and black and white floor diner. They’re always open and always bumping. They do have a Greek infusion, so you can either side with classic diner foods or head into Greek territory with their large menu. I love going to Pete’s because it feels like you’re their friend, like you walk in and they’ve been waiting for you. The perfect amount of lived in and cozy. Their pork green chili!
Duffeyroll Bakery & Cafe is for the Denver baked pastry that is a duffeyroll. Oh they’re SO GOOD. They have 3 locations. Okay these are a cross between a croissant and a cinnamon roll. They make them in a bunchhhh of different flavors and you can get a whole box. They also do breakfast and some lunch! I can’t tell you enough how much you need a dozen duffeyrolls. They have original cinnamon roll versions (Original Zesty Orange, Mountain Maple, Irish Cream, English Toffee, Pecanilla Crunch), savory versions (Bacon, Cheddar & House Roasted Tomato, Ham, Swiss & Honeycup Mustard Spinach, House Roasted Tomato & Provolone), and cobbler rolls (Blueberry, Peach).
City O’ City has such good breakfast! It’s hard to know where to put them in the blog series because they span breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and do it well. They’re fully vegetarian! And mostly vegan but you can sub things like cheese. Their pork green chili…their breakfast burrito…Their coffee!! And weirdly enough their sausage and peppers pizza is one of the best, vetted by my own brother. It’s just good all the time. And everyone who works here is cool and nice. The art is cute, this is classic Denver.
Odie B’s has a couple locations, up on 38th “Sunnyside” (has indoor and outdoor seating) and in RiNo (only indoor seating). They do a multitude of things well, but started on breakfast sandwiches. Now, on top of the breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos, they’re leaning into sandwiches, particularly burgers. You can grab a coffee drink or a cocktail as well. They have such a cute vibe and do fun activities.
Butcher Block Cafe is classic. It’s up in RiNo and people fight that it’s the best cinnamon roll (don’t ask me, I’m on the caramel roll committee). As a girl from ND, GET THIS!!!! – “When the Michel brothers came to Denver from North Dakota in 1979 they were committed to opening cafes that would reflect the small home town diners they grew up loving.” Which really tugs at my heart strings. So yeah, go to Butcher Block. Expect all breakfast classics, from omelettes to chicken fried steak and steak and eggs to pancakes and french toast.
Rosenberg’s Bagels & Delicatessen is a fab spot for bagel sandwiches or a bagel with cream cheese. I love the Five Points location but there are multiple across the metro. My favorite sandwich is The Frenchie but I’d take one of each. It gets really busy in the mornings so keep that in mind!
The Delectable Egg is a chain in the area with 5 locations. If you’re in the city, the one off Broadway on 17th is the perfect city diner to go to. All your diner needs; coffee, I love an eggs benedict, and the atmosphere is really comfortable. I’ve never had to wait but I know it gets busy on the, you guessed it, weekends! I’ve only been to one location. Nothing too fancy, just exactly what you ordered, and QUICK every time! They also have a lunch menu.
